Weifang Arts and Cultural Centre

The Weifang Arts and Cultural Centre is a multi-dimensional space located in the City of Kites. Inspired by its location, its form mimics kites, recalling the dance and tension between the toy and flyer. This is further accentuated by light and colourful aluminium feature fins against grey stone walls. Among its components are a concert hall, theatre, library, science centre and viewing towers. Special consideration was made in planning the spatial flows to ensure easy way-finding despite its architecture. Thanks to excellent sightlines and acoustics in the main concert hall and theatre, top artistes across China have come to appreciate and laud the venue.
